PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both adhesiveness onto a human body and leak prevention performance with respect to sudden excretion.
SOLUTION: An absorbent article is constituted as follows. An absorbent body 4 and a surface sheet 3 are integrated so as to form a compound layer 20. A ring shape part 21 includes the peripheral edge part of the compound layer 20 and a main absorbent part 22 is surrounded by the ring shape part 21. The ring shape part 21 is joined with a backside sheet 2, and the main absorbent part 22 is not joined with the backside sheet 2. The length in the front and rear direction of the main absorbent part 22 is longer than a natural length in the front and rear direction of a part corresponding to the main absorbent part 22 in the backside sheet 2. Vertically penetrating through-holes 5 are formed in the absorbent body 4 of the main absorbent part 22.
