The invention relates to a composition comprising a matrix material and a filler material, wherein the matrix material comprises polycaprolactone and one or more types of a poly(hydroxyalkanoate) and wherein the filler material comprises metal particles. A fishing weight comprising a composition of the invention has the advantage of increased biodegradability and decreased toxicity as compared to known fishing weights. In addition, the composition has many properties that are advantageous to the fishermen who are making, shaping and using fishing weights.
