PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic and a new cosmetic fiber preferable to manufacture the cosmetic, the cosmetic having the following features: when applied on eyelashes, each fiber being aligned along the eyelashes in the same direction the fiber being firmly stuck to the eyelashes without falling off the cosmetic having an excellent long-lash effect that makes the eyelashes look longer, and having an excellent natural appearance and the cosmetic capable of giving a curling effect and a separating effect.SOLUTION: In a cosmetic that blends fibers such as eyelash cosmetics, a hollow fiber is used, a part of its hollow circumferential wall having deficiency in the longitudinal direction, the length of the fiber being 0.5 to 6 mm, its cross sectional circumcircles diameter being 20 to 120 μm, its hollowness being 5 to 50%, its deficit ratio of the circumferential wall at cross section being 0.5 to 30%, and its fineness being 6 to 30 dtex. The hollow fiber preferably has a shape that slightly curves in the length direction, and a blending amount of the hollow fiber is 0.1 to 10 mass% based on the total amount of the cosmetic.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】睫毛に塗布した際、繊維の向きが睫毛に沿うように揃って並び、繊維がしっかりと睫毛に密着して繊維が落ちることなく、睫毛をより長くみせるロングラッシュ効果と自然な外観に優れ、カール効果およびセパレート効果を付与できる化粧料および該化粧料の製造に好適な新規な化粧料用繊維を提供する。【解決手段】睫毛用化粧料などの繊維を配合した化粧料において、繊維として、長さが0.5~6mmであり、横断面の外接円の直径が20~120μmであり、中空率が5~50%であり、横断面における周囲壁の欠損率が0.5~30%であり、且つ繊度が6~30デシテックスである、中空部の周囲壁の一部が長手方向に欠損した中空繊維を使用する。該中空繊維は、長さ方向に若干湾曲した形状であることが好ましく、また、該中空繊維の配合量は、化粧料全量基準で0.1~10質量%であることが好ましい。【選択図】図1
