PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a skin care preparation for external use that exhibits necessary antimicrobial properties attained with a minimum amount of a polyhydric alcohol without using para-oxybenzoic acids or using a small amount of para-oxybenzoic acids exhibiting primary skin irritation and exhibits superior functionalities and moisture-retaining performance.SOLUTION: The skin care preparation for external use comprises 1, 3-propanediol and 1, 2-pentanediol. Further incorporation of 1, 3-butanediol increases degrees of freedom of functionalities. Compounded amounts of 1, 3-propanediol, 1, 2-pentanediol and 1, 3-butanediol are 0.5-30 wt.%, 0.2-15 wt.% and 0-25 wt.%, respectively. Preferable compounded amounts of 1, 3-propanediol, 1, 2-pentanediol and 1, 3-butanediol are 1.0-25 wt.%, 0.5-10 wt.% and 0-20 wt.%, respectively.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】本発明の目的は、皮膚一次刺激のあるパラオキシ安息香酸類を使用せず、或いは少量で、必要な抗菌性を最小限の多価アルコールで達成し、且つ優れた官能や保湿性能を有する皮膚外用剤を得ることである。【解決手段】1,3プロパンジオールと1,2ペンタンジオールを含む皮膚外用剤が上記課題を解決することがわかった。 さらに1,3ブタンジオールを配合すると官能の自由度も増す。配合量としては、1,3プロパンジオールが0.5~30重量%、1,2ペンタンジオールが0.2~15重量%、1,3ブタンジオールが0~25重量%、好ましくは、1,3プロパンジオールが1.0~25重量%、1,2ペンタンジオールが0.5~10重量%、1,3ブタンジオールが0~20重量%がよい。【選択図】なし
