PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyaxial bone anchoring device for anchoring a stabilization rod in a bone or in a vertebra, the bone anchoring device allowing an improved handling during surgery and capable of being manufactured in a simple manner, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The polyaxial bone anchoring device 1 includes: an anchoring element 2 having a shaft 3 to be anchored to the bone and a head 4 a receiving part 5 having a top end 51 and a bottom end 52, a channel 56 for receiving the rod, and a passageway 53 extending from the top end to the bottom end, and including a seat portion for receiving the head and a pressure element 6 arranged in the passageway and configured to pressure the head. The pressure element 6 includes a hole 600b, and the receiving part 5 includes a threaded through-hole 500b for receiving a set screw 8.
