The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for tumor suppression containing an Allium hookeri extract as an active ingredient. To this end, leaves and roots of Allium hookeri are respectively extracted with 70% fermentation alcohol so as to acquire the Allium hookeri extract, and then the Allium hookeri extract is treated to chicken tumor cells. As a result, the growth of tumor cells is inhibited, antitumor effects of the Allium hookeri extract increases as a culture period increases, and the leaves of Allium hookeri shows stronger inhibitory effects on proliferation of tumor cells than the roots of the Allium hookeri. Accordingly, the Allium hookeri extract can be useful as pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating cancer.본 발명은 삼채(Alliumhookeri) 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 종양 억제용 약학적 조성물에 관한 것으로, 삼채의 잎과 뿌리를 각각 70% 발효주정으로 추출하여 삼채 추출물을 수득하고, 이를 닭 종양 세포에 처리한 결과, 종양세포의 성장이 저해되고, 배양 시간이 길어질수록 삼채 추출물의 항종양 효과가 상승하며, 삼채 잎이 뿌리보다 종양세포에 증식 억제가 뛰어남을 확인함으로써, 본 발명의 삼채 추출물은 암 예방 및 치료용 약학적 조성물로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
