The present invention relates to an apparatus for ocular treatment which irradiates therapeutic beam after recording areas where ocular diseases are generated and analyzes the same before irradiating ocular diseases with therapeutic beam, and to a control method thereof. The apparatus for ocular treatment comprises: a beam generation unit which generates the therapeutic beam； an image unit which produces images of a treating target eyeball； an input unit which applies input signals to mark lesion area among the ocular images displayed by the image unit； and a control unit which controls operation of the beam generation unit in order to irradiate therapeutic beam inside the marked lesion area based on the lesion area which is input and marked by the input unit. The apparatus for ocular treatment hereby records the treating target eyeball, forms ocular images and draws the lesion area on the ocular image in order to set up the lesion area, and irradiates the preset lesion area with therapeutic beam to perform accurate ocular treatment and to enhance ocular treatment efficiency.본 발명은 안구의 질환에 치료용 빔을 조사하기에 앞서 안구의 질환이 발생된 영역을 촬영하여 분석한 후 치료용 빔을 조사하는 안과용 치료장치 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 안과용 치료장치는 치료용 빔을 생성하는 빔 생성유닛과, 치료 대상 안구의 이미지를 생성하여 상기 안구의 이미지를 디스플레이 하는 이미지유닛과, 이미지유닛에 의해 디스플레이된 안구의 이미지 중 병변 영역을 표시하도록 입력 신호를 인가하는 입력유닛과, 입력유닛에 의해 입력되어 표시된 병변 영역에 기초하여 표시된 병변 영역 내에 치료용 빔을 조사하도록 빔 생성유닛의 작동을 제어하는 제어부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 이에 의하여, 치료 대상인 안구를 촬영하여 안구의 이미지를 형성한 후, 안구의 이미지 상의 병변 영역을 드로잉 하여 병변 영역을 설정하고 설정된 병변 영역 내에 치료용 빔을 조사함으로써, 정밀한 안구의 치료와 함께 치료 효율을 향상시킬 수 있다.
