Each of the plurality of light sources (first light source 12, second light source 14) is positioned so that the fluid flowing nearer to the corresponding inlet port (first inlet port 32, second inlet port 34), rather than the fluid flowing nearer to the outlet port 36, is irradiated with ultraviolet light. The treatment chamber 50 may also be of a shape that extends in the longitudinal direction from a first end surface toward a second end surface.
