A continuous adjustment appliance is provided that can memorize many shapes that can be used continuously throughout orthodontic treatment, each shape corresponding to the patient's teeth arrangement. An appliance according to the present disclosure can be stimulated to transition between a myriad of shapes, which can include the overall shape of the appliance, as well as changes in the location and shape of the cavity corresponding to the patient's teeth.
