The image processing unit (150) is provided with: a variable-brightness processing unit (1302) which processes the brightness of the images captured by the imaging unit and calculates the reflection polarization state of the surface of the body to be imaged a reflection determination unit (1305) which, on the basis of the output of the variable-brightness processing unit (1302), differentiates multiple reflection regions, in which return light is reflected twice in a concave area, and single reflection regions, in which return light is reflected once on the surface of the body to be imaged and a mirror image search unit (1306) which determines a pair of multiple reflection regions in which return light is reflected twice in a concave area on the surface of the body to be imaged.
