Contact lenses are a commonly used medical device that many users have difficulty inserting and removing from the eye. The contact lens insertion and removal apparatus of the present invention uses a lens manifolder that can be controlled by a user to insert a contact lens into the eye or remove it from the eye. A further embodiment includes a display system that provides the user with a dual image of the lens manifolder to view the optical illusion of the lens manifolder from a side view. This provides the user with improved control and safety when inserting or removing contact lenses.
