A voriconazole composition includes voriconazole, hydroxypropyl &bgr-cyclodextrin, and an excipient selected from the group consisting of an amino acid and a disaccharide, where the composition is a solid. The solid composition may be made by forming a liquid mixture including a solvent, voriconazole, HPCD, and an excipient selected from the group consisting of an amino acid and a disaccharide, and lyophilizing the liquid mixture.
