PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair dye which causes no deterioration with time in hair-dyeing force and not only can maximally draw the hair-dyeing force in use but also can dye the hair in various color tones, and can further gradually dye the hair without suddenly changing looks.SOLUTION: The hair dye comprises a first agent containing a coloring agent which reacts with a metal ion to color and a second agent containing a metal salt, and the first agent further contains at least one additive selected from the group consisting of an aromatic alcohol, an anionic surface active agent, and urea.
