Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein antibakterielles Mittel sowie Hydrolysat aus wenigstens einem Extrakt, welcher hergestellt ist durch Extraktion mittels Ethanol/Wasser aus getrocknetem Pflanzenmaterial aus: a) wenigstens einer der Pflanzen, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus: Verbena officinalis L., Sambucus nigra L., Primula veris L., Primula elatior (L.) Hill und Gentiana lutea L.； sowie einer Mischung davon； oder b) einer Mischung aus: Verbena officinalis L., Sambucus nigra L., Primula veris L., Gentiana lutea L. und Rumicis herba； und anschließendem Entfernen des Ethanol/Wasser-Extraktionsmittels, wobei das Hydrolysat durch hydrolytische Behandlung mit einer Mineralsäure aus dem Extrakt erhältlich ist. Die erfindungsgemäßen Hydrolysate zeigen eine ausgeprägte antibakterielle Wirkung gegen haut- HNO- und atemwegsrelevante Keime.The present invention relates to an antibacterial agent and a hydrolysate made of at least one extract that has been produced by extraction using ethanol/water from dried plant material of: a) at least one of the plants selected from the group consisting of: Verbena officinalis L., Sambucus nigra L., Primula veris L., Primula elatior (L.)
