To provide a novel method for producing a water-insoluble aromatic compound including composition excellent in solubility of a water-insoluble aromatic compound.SOLUTION: The method comprises: a step (1) for acquiring a water-insoluble aromatic compound solution 1 including a step (1-1) for preparing a heating processing raw material including (A) water-insoluble aromatic compound, (B) polyol, (C) aqueous medium, and a step (1-2) for heating processing the heating processing raw material at temperature less than 100°C at normal pressure for acquiring a water-insoluble aromatic compound including heating processing liquid； and a step (2) for adding water to the water-insoluble aromatic compound solution 1 for acquiring a water-insoluble aromatic compound solution 2 in which a density of the (A) water-insoluble aromatic compound becomes a density exceeding saturation solubility at 25°C.
