PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the amount of remaining hydrogen peroxide on the inner face of a cup without bringing about thermal deformation on the cup made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
SOLUTION: After mist or gas (a) and b of hydrogen peroxide is blown toward the inner and outer faces of the cup 1 made of PET, hot air c and d are blown to the inner and outer faces of the cup so as not to deform the cup, to dry hydrogen peroxide stuck on at least the inner face of the cup. After the hydrogen peroxide is allowed to stay until the inner face of the cup is sterilized to a required extent, blowing of the hot air is started, and a plurality of times of blowing of this hot air until the amount of the remaining hydrogen peroxide on at least the inner face of the cup falls within an allowable range, and the cup is cooled down by placing a cooling time from the preceding blowing of the hot air to the next blowing of the hot air. On either one or both of a period after allowing the hydrogen peroxide to stay in the cup and until starting the blowing of the hot air, and a period after blowing a required hot air to the next blowing of the hot air, mist or gas (e) of water is blown toward the inner face of the cup.
