PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner capable of detecting by a simple configuration whether or not a deodorizing filter is rotating.SOLUTION: When a sensor part 23r and a second gear 23k are combined with each other, a light blocking part 23kb of the second gear 23k covers a light emitting part 23rc of the sensor part and the light emitting part is arranged in the light blocking part, whereby, only when a slit 23kc is located between the light emitting part and a light receiving part by rotation of the second gear, light emitted from the light emitting part passes through the slit to be received by the light receiving part. If the light receiving can be detected by the sensor part at regular time intervals, the rotation of the deodorizing filter can be detected by detecting the rotation of the second gear by the sensor part since the teeth parts 23ka of the second gear and a first gear of a deodorizing filter are engaged with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
