This centrifugal blood pump apparatus includes an impeller (10) provided in a blood chamber (7), a permanent magnet (15a, 15b) provided in one surface of the impeller (10), and a permanent magnet (16a, 16b) provided in an inner wall of the blood chamber (7), for attracting the permanent magnet (15a, 15b). A centerline (L2) of the permanent magnet (16a, 16b) is arranged at a position different from that of a centerline (L1 of a sidewall of the blood chamber (7) such that a rotation centerline (L3) of the impeller (10) matches the centerline (L1) of the sidewall of the blood chamber (7) during pump operation. Therefore, high torque transmission efficiency is obtained.
