A cationic polymer having a cationic quaternary ammonium repeat unit of formula (C-1 ) or (C-5), synthesized by a one-step quaternization and polymerization between: 1 ) a nucleophilic agent comprising two tertiary amines, and 2) an electrophilic agent that comprises two leaving groups and an aromatic ring between the leaving groups is provided. The said polymers can be highly active against Gram-negative and Gram-positive microbes, and/or fungi, and are non-hemolytic and non-cytotoxic at the effective concentration.La présente invention concerne un polymère cationique ayant un motif de répétition dammonium quaternaire cationique de formule (C-1) ou (C-5), synthétisé par une quaternisation et une polymérisation en une étape entre : 1) un agent nucléophile comprenant deux amines tertiaires, et 2) un agent électrophile qui comprend deux groupes partants et un cycle aromatique entre les groupes partants. Lesdits polymères peuvent être hautement actifs contre les microbes à Gram-négatif et Gram-positif, et/ou les champignons, et ne sont ni hémolytiques ni cytotoxiques à la concentration efficace.
