The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel cheese that has high safety and, when daily taken, is useful in preventing and treating various bone diseases such as osteoporosis, bone fracture, rheumatism and arthritis.A cheese that contains 6.5-160 mg/100 g of angiogenin and/or a decomposition product of angiogenin together with lactoperoxidase and/or a decomposition product of lactoperoxidase, said lactoperoxidase and/or a decomposition product of lactoperoxidase being contained at a ratio by mass of 0.3-33 to the angiogenin and/or a decomposition product of angiogenin. Intake of the cheese can strengthen bones and, in particular, contribute to the prevention and treatment of various bone diseases such as osteoporosis, bone fracture, rheumatism and arthritis.
