PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processor for an electronic endoscope, obtainable of an endoscopic image in which prescribed image processing for recessed part emphasis or the like is performed only to a prescribed area so as to facilitate the identification of an affected part.SOLUTION: The processor for the electronic endoscope, which is connected to the electronic endoscope, processes video signals of the endoscope image outputted from the electronic endoscope and generates video signals that can be displayed on a monitor, includes an input means for receiving input for stipulating a selection range in the endoscope image, and an image processing means for performing prescribed image processing to the range of at least a part of the endoscope image.
