A guidewire (1) includes a core shaft (10) including a front section (12) including a front end portion (11) and a rear section (14) including a rear end portion (13), an outer coil body (20) that covers the front section (12), and an inner coil body (30) that is disposed in the outer coil body (20) and covers the front section (12). The outer coil body (20) includes a cylindrical large-diameter section (21) positioned near the rear end portion (13), a cylindrical small-diameter section (22) positioned near the front end portion (11), and a tapered section (25) that connects the large-diameter section (21) to the small-diameter section (22) with a connecting portion provided therebetween, the tapered section (25) having a diameter that decreases from an end near the rear end portion (13) to an end near the front end portion (11). Of the large-diameter section (21), the small-diameter section (22), the connecting portion, and the tapered section (25), the inner coil body (30) is disposed at least in the tapered section (25).
