PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire having excellent insertability into a vascular occlusive lesion by optimizing the structure and shape of the distal end of the guide wire.SOLUTION: A guide wire 1 includes: a core shaft 2 an outer coil body 3 for covering the distal end portion of the core shaft 2 an inner coil body 300 positioned inside the outer coil body 3 and covering the distal end portion of the core shaft 2 and a distal-most end 5 for fixing the distal ends of the core shaft 2 and outer coil body 3 to the distal end of the inner coil body 300.
