To reduce labor required in managing and monitoring a forest even when a forest is located in a remote place or a forest is located over a wide range.SOLUTION: A tree watching system includes: multiple slave units 20 to be attached to trees in a forest； and a master unit 10 for receiving monitoring information acquired by the slave units 20 and to be transmitted by radio, and also transmitting the monitoring information to a monitoring server 40 by using specific small power radio communication.
