The present invention concerns a method for synthesising novel ionic liquids having antiproliferative activities on cancer cells, and the therapeutic applications of same as anticancer agents. A novel range of organic ionic liquids has been prepared using thiabendazolium as the starting precursor, by alkylation of thiabendazole in the presence of alkyl agents having aliphatic chains with a chain length of between C8 and C18, followed by a quaternisation reaction using iodomethane, the products from this reaction undergoing a metathesis reaction in the presence of different counter anions. The molecules thus obtained have been evaluated for their antiproliferative activities in vitro with respect to human cancer cell lines.La présente invention concerne un procédé de synthèse de nouveaux liquides ioniques ayant des activités antiprolifératives des cellules cancéreuses, et leurs applications thérapeutiques, en tant qu'agents anticancéreux. Une nouvelle gamme des liquides ioniques organiques a été préparé en utilisant le thiabendazolium comme précurseur de départ, par alkylation du thiabendazole en présence des agents alkyles ayant des chaines aliphatiques de longueur de chaine entre C8 jusqu'à C18, suivi par une réaction de quaternisation en utilisant l'iodométhane, Les produits issus de cette réaction ont été subi une réaction de métathèse en présence de différents contre anion. Les molécules ainsi, obtenues ont été évaluées pour de leurs activités antiprolifératives in vitro vis-à-vis des lignées cellulaires cancéreuses humaines.
