PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasound image diagnostic apparatus capable of acquiring a high-quality ultrasound image by efficiently utilizing an ultrasound probe with a wide-band characteristic at a low cost.SOLUTION: A transmitting section 12 of the ultrasound image diagnostic apparatus outputs a square wave pulse signal to allow a transducer to generate transmission ultrasound.
