The present invention relates to an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic material for skin which comprises the following ingredients (A) to (D). (A) glyceryl tricaprylate, (B) monostearic acid polyethylene glycol (100, 120, or 150 mol polyoxyethylene adduct), (C) a microgel which is obtained by dissolving and radically polymerizing a water-soluble ethylenic unsaturated monomer in a dispersed phase in a composition which uses an organic solvent or oil as a dispersion medium and water as a dispersed phase, the microgel constituting a thickener formed of the microgel which is obtained by radically polymerizing dimethylacrylamide and 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid in a condition in which a one-phase microemulsion or a fine W/O emulsion is formed by a surfactant, and (D) water. The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic material for skin of the present invention is good in terms of spreading over skin and in terms of affinity with skin, produces no stickiness, and has excellent freshness, penetration, emollience and soft feeling.本發明提供一種水中油型乳化皮膚化妝料，其特徵在於含有下述成分(A)~(D)：(A)三辛酸甘油酯；(B)選自由聚乙二醇單硬脂酸酯(polyethylene glycol monostearate)(100莫耳聚氧乙烯加成物)、聚乙二醇單硬脂酸酯(120莫耳聚氧乙烯加成物)、聚乙二醇單硬脂酸酯(150莫耳聚氧乙烯加成物)組成之群中之1種或2種以上；(C)由微凝膠構成之增黏劑：該微凝膠係於以有機溶劑或油分為分散媒，以水為分散相之組成物中，將水溶性不飽和乙烯單體溶解於分散相，於分散相中進行自由基聚合而獲得者，並且，上述微凝膠係利用界面活性劑，於形成單相微乳化液或微細W/O型乳化液之條件下，使二甲基丙烯醯胺與2-丙烯醯胺-2-甲基丙磺酸進行自由基聚合而獲得；及(D)水。本發明之目的在於提供一種於肌膚上之延展性及親和性良好，無黏膩感，且水潤感、滲透感、柔膚感、緊緻感等使用感極其優異之皮膚化妝料。
