PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in a conventional rice transplanter including an automatic edge shift mechanism, edge shift is executed contrary to a workers intention.SOLUTION: A rice transplanter 8 includes: an edge shift mode switch 150 by which a worker turns ON/OFF an edge shift mode executing edge shift for shifting a seedling placement stand 51 to a right or left edge and stopping the stand 51 at the edge and a controller 160 starting execution of edge shift control performing the edge shift when edge shift control execution start conditions are satisfied.
