PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stylet for an endoscope which can facilitate the insertion of the inserting portion of the endoscope and can improve the operability of the inserting portion of the endoscope.
SOLUTION: The problem is solved by constructing the stylet of a flexible member which is a long member having flexibility and in which stiffness varies from area to area in the length direction, a supporting portion arranged at the base of the flexible member and supporting the flexible member, and a stiffness adjustment portion adjusting the stiffness of the flexible member.
