A surgical device adapter for coupling an end effector to a handle assembly isdisclosed.The surgical device adapter includes: a housing including a proximal endcouplable to a distalend of a handle assembly and a drive coupling assembly and selectivelycouplable to the handleassembly, the drive coupling assembly including a tubular clamping memberhaving at least oneflexible member, the tubular clamping member movable from a proximal positionin which the atleast one flexible member is disengaged from the distal end of the handleassembly to a distalposition in which the at least one flexible member is engaged to the distalend of the handleassembly.
