PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weed-proof material that can suitably control propagation of weed, and to provide an execution method of the weed-proof material.SOLUTION: The weed-proof material 10 is composed of a nonwoven fabric 1 covering the ground G and a sandy particle-contained layer 2 piled on the nonwoven fabric 1. As a result, as the nonwoven fabric 1 is laid down in an unexposed manner on the ground G, the nonwoven fabric 1 is prevented from being exposed to sunlight (ultraviolet rays) and deteriorated or is free from being damaged and broken by people and animals, so that it can durably control propagation of weed. Particularly, the nonwoven fabric 1 and the sandy particle-contained layer 2 are made to cohere in a manner that fluff on the surface of the nonwoven fabric 1 gets entangled with the sandy particle-contained layer 2. Consequently, the sandy particle-contained layer 2 is hardly separated from the nonwoven fabric 1, with the weed-proof material 10 hardly damaged, resulting in durably controlling propagation of weed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT【課題】雑草の繁殖を好適に抑えることができる防草材及び防草材の施工方法を提供する。【解決手段】地面Ｇを被覆する不織布１と、その不織布１上に積重された砂状粒子含有層２とを備えて構成されている防草材１０であれば、不織布１が地面Ｇにむき出しで敷かれていないので、不織布１が日光（紫外線）に晒されて劣化することや、人や動物に傷つけられて破られてしまうことがなく、耐久性よく雑草の繁殖を抑えることができる。特に、不織布１表面の毛羽が砂状粒子含有層２に絡まるように不織布１と砂状粒子含有層２とが合着されているため、不織布１から砂状粒子含有層２が剥がれ難く、防草材１０が損傷し難くなっているので、耐久性よく雑草の繁殖を抑えることができる。【選択図】図１
