PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having an excellent capability of following the body movement, especially such movement as to cause twisting deformation of the absorbent article, when a user has the absorbent article on, capable of being fitted to the body, and capable of securely preventing leakage because of the fitting.SOLUTION: In the absorbent article 1 with an absorber 4 interposed between a liquid-permeable front surface sheet 3 and a rear surface sheet 2, the absorber 4 is composed of a set of right and left absorber elements 4A and 4B disposed in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article 1. The set of right and left absorber elements 4A and 4B are disposed in such a way as to intersect each other in a region including a part corresponding to a blood outlet part H of the wearer. The set of right and left absorber elements 4A and 4B includes at least two strips of adhesive layers 27 and 27 on the outer surface of the rear surface sheet 2 to be stuck to shorts. The adhesive layers 27 are formed along the respective absorber elements 4A and 4B in such a way as to intersect each other approximately at the part corresponding to the blood outlet part H of the wearer.
