PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throttle operation device capable of releasing a held condition of a throttle lever at its half throttle position without accompanying a non-required increasing in the engine speed.SOLUTION: A throttle operation device 10 comprises a throttle lever 11 and a half-lock lever 13. The half-lock lever 13 has an operation part 132 that can be operated between a non-locked position and a locked position and a lock part 133a arranged at a position near to a rotating center of the throttle lever 11 rather than to the operation part 132 so as to prevent rotation where the throttle lever 11 is abutted against i when the operation part 132 is set at the locked position in a direction returning to an initial position of the throttle lever 11.
