This invention provides a detergent for skin, which is made by mixing 55-65 wt% of coffee grounds and 35-45 wt% of alkaline solution to form a weak basic detergent for skin, characterized in that the detergent for skin contains coffee grounds which are produced by baking and carbonizing coffee beans to form a porous structure similar to that of activated carbon. The coffee grounds have adsorption capability, so that the baked coffee grounds have an enlarged porous structure capable of adsorbing many tiny contaminants and directly absorbing greasy contaminants. Since the coffee grounds contain fat, they are capable of moistening skin. In addition, the abrasion between the coffee grounds and the hand skin can remove aged skin keratin by the frictional force to increase cleaning capability.
