PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering support device capable of securely preventing a vehicle from deviating from a lane due to carelessness of a driver.SOLUTION: An ECU 2 of a steering support device 1 comprises: an arousal level estimation part 8 for estimating the arousal level of the driver from a face image obtained by a face recognizing camera 3 a control mode setting part 9 for setting a control mode a lane keeping support control part 10 for performing a lane keeping support mode for controlling a steering actuator 5 so that its own vehicle keeps the center of the lane and runs and a lane deviation alarm control part 11 for performing a lane deviation alarm mode for making a deviation alarm sound from an alarm 6 when its own vehicle is about to deviate from the lane.
