PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter, even when the catheter inserted into a blood vessel is placed in a curved state for a prolonged period, capable of preventing crack and exfoliation of an outer layer by inhibiting stress generating on a boundary (e.g., a boundary between a body part of a catheter shaft and an adjacent part adjacent to the body part) between outer layers with different hardnesses.SOLUTION: A catheter 1 is so configured that a boundary between a first outer layer 28a and a second outer layer 28b is disposed at a recess 32 of an intermediate layer 29. Consequently, when the catheter 1 is curved, a rear end (the second outer layer 28b near the boundary) of the second outer layer 28b is caught by a protrusion 31b of the intermediate layer 29 so as to further prevent, by anchor effect, the second outer layer 28b from being exfoliated from the intermediate layer 29.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT【課題】本発明は、血管に挿入されたカテーテルが長時間湾曲した状態に置かれた場合でも、硬度の異なる外層の境界(例えば、カテーテルシャフトの本体部とその本体部に隣接する隣接部との境界)に生じる応力を抑制して、外層の亀裂や剥離を防止することできるカテーテルを提供することを課題とする。【解決手段】カテーテル1では、第一外層28aと第二外層28bとの境界が、中層29の凹部32に配置されている。そのため、カテーテル1を湾曲させたときに、第二外層28bの後端(境界付近にある第二外層28b)が中層29の凸部31bに引っ掛かって、アンカー効果により、更に第二外層28bが中層29から剥離しにくくすることができる。【選択図】図3
