The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an extract of Dendropanax morbifera, and a beverage containing the extract. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an extract of Dendropanax morbifera which is free from sour or bitter taste unique to the Dendropanax morbifera extract, and is free from unpleasant odors to reduce repulsion upon drinking to be suitable for drinking, and has a high content of active ingredients exhibiting physiological activity, and to a beverage containing the extract. The present invention provides a method for manufacturing an extract of Dendropanax morbifera comprising the steps of: a preparing step of preparing a mixture of Dendropanax morbifera leaves and water； and a heating step of heating the mixture at a temperature ranging from 75-115°C under atmospheric pressure for a heating time of 1-8 hours.본 발명은 황칠나무 추출액의 제조 방법 및 그 추출액을 포함하는 음료에 관한 것으로 더욱 상세하게는 황칠나무 추출액 특유의 신맛이나 쓴맛 이 나지 않으며, 독특한 향을 감소시켜 음용시 거부감을 없애 음료로 마시기에 적합하며, 생리활성을 나타내 는 유효성분의 함량이 높고, 항산화 기능성이 상대적으로 높은 황칠나무 추출액의 제조방법 및 그 추출액을 포함하는 음료에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 황칠나무 잎과 물의 혼합물을 준비하는 준비단계 및 대기압하에서 가열온도 75~115℃의 온도범위에서 가열시간 1~8시간 동안 가열하는 가열단계를 포함하는 황칠나무 추출액의 제조방법을 제공한다.
