PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of a cutting remainder of an elastic stretchable member.SOLUTION: A production method of an underpants type disposable diaper is configured so that: when an exterior body 12 having a non-stretchable area A1 provided on a width direction intermediate part, and stretchable areas A2 provided on both sides of the width direction of the non-stretchable area A1, an elastic stretchable member is fixed to an inside sheet layer 12H and an outside sheet layer 12S through a hot melt adhesive H1 on at least both end parts of parts which become the stretchable areas A2； the elastic stretchable member is not fixed to the inside sheet layer 12H and the outside sheet layer 12S on the part which becomes the non-stretchable area A1； sheet non-inclusion areas A3 on which there is no display sheet 25 and other sheet are provided between the inside sheet layer 12H and the outside sheet layer 12S on side parts of the non-stretchable area A1； the elastic stretchable members 15-17 are cut on the parts which are the sheet non-inclusion area A3, and cut traces 22 and unnecessary elastic stretchable members 19 are left； on an area overlapped to a display sheet 25, the elastic stretchable member is not cut.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9【課題】弾性伸縮部材の切り残しを防止する。【解決手段】上記課題は、パンツタイプ使い捨ておむつの製造において、幅方向中間に設けられた非伸縮領域Ａ１と、この非伸縮領域Ａ１の幅方向両側に設けられた伸縮領域Ａ２とを有する外装体１２を形成するに際し、伸縮領域Ａ２となる部分の少なくとも両端部で弾性伸縮部材をホットメルト接着剤Ｈ１を介して内側シート層１２Ｈ及び外側シート層１２Ｓに対して固定し、非伸縮領域Ａ１となる部分では弾性伸縮部材を内側シート層１２Ｈ及び外側シート層１２Ｓに対して非固定とし、非伸縮領域Ａ１の側部に、内側シート層１２Ｈ及び外側シート層１２Ｓ間に表示シート２５及び他のシートのないシート非介在領域Ａ３を設け、シート非介在領域Ａ３となる部分で弾性伸縮部材１５～１７を切断し、切断痕跡２２及び不要弾性伸縮部材１９を残し、表示シート２５と重なる領域では弾性伸縮部材の切断をしないことにより解決される。【選択図】図９
