A dressing for a burn wound, comprising: a first layer consisting mainly of a thin layer of a substrate based on a heat-conducting metal containing a first surface and a second surface, where the first surface of the metal substrate, when viewed from the side, has an almost flat profile that is adapted for direct contact with the burn wound, and most of the specified second surface of the metal substrate is non-planar and is characterized by such a topography of the surface that contributes to the diffusion heat and which, when viewed from the side, rises above the base plane of the aluminum substrate, and which is adapted for direct contact with air. 2.
