A bandage for applying reduced pressure to a tissue site, comprising:! material for transmitting reduced pressure to the tissue site and for receiving fluid from the tissue site, the dressing material comprising:! a tissue-interface layer designed to make contact with a tissue site and which is a hydrophobic layer,! a line designed for distribution of reduced pressure and representing a hydrophobic layer, and! a first absorbent layer for absorbing liquid from the tissue site through the fabric interface layer and the line, the line being located between the fabric interface layer and the first absorbent layer, and! a surgical napkin covering at least a portion of the dressing material. ! 2. The dressing according to claim 1, in which the fabric-interface layer contains a non-adhesive fabric-interface layer. ! 3. The dressing according to claim 1, in which the fabric-interface layer comprises a fabric-interface layer configured to stretch. ! 4. The dressing according to claim 1, in which the fabric-interface layer contains nylon. ! 5. The dressing according to claim 1, in which the layer of fabric-interface contains a cellular fabric on a polymer basis. ! 6. The dressing according to claim 1, in which the fabric-interface layer contains polyethylene impregnated with Teflon. ! 7. The dressing according to claim 1, in which the first absorbent layer contains an absorbent hydrogel layer. ! 8. The dressing according to claim 1, in which the first absorbent layer comprises an absorbent layer of superabsorbent fibers. ! 9. The dressing according to claim 1, in which the first absorbent layer contains fibers forming a fibrous material and configured to absorb liquid from a tissue site. ! 10.
