A distributor for distribution of a liquid to a mineral processing apparatus is disclosed. The distributor (10) including a housing (12) formed by an outer wall and a central chamber (20) formed by an inner wall and located in the housing. The central chamber receives the liquid for distribution from the inlet (30). From the central chamber the liquid flows to distribution chambers (16) which are located between the outside of the central chamber and an internal surface of the housing. Passage from the central chamber to respective ones of the distribution chambers is by means of respective apertures (40) which are formed through a generally horizontally oriented surface (26) formed as part of the inner wall. The liquid leaves the distributor in a metered manor by way of outlets (18). By the apertures being in a horizontal surface the disclosure asserts that the distributor’s metering function via the apertures will be decoupled or separated from being adversely affected by liquid entering the fluid passageways or outlets. By this means the apertures and outlets won’t influence each other and hence an equal distribution is more likely to be achieved in each distribution chamber.
