PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator with large capacity while suppressing a drop in a storage amount due to a cooling chamber.SOLUTION: A partition plate 6 which partitions between a freezing chamber 9 and a vegetable chamber 8 has an opening 20 which configures a part of a cooling chamber 16. As a minimum width dimension W2 of the opening 20 is smaller than a width dimension of a cooler 18, a width dimension of the cooling chamber 16 provided on a back surface of the vegetable chamber 8 further upward than the partition plate 6 can be made to be smaller than the width dimension of the cooler 18. Thus, a volume of the cooler 18 can be secured large on the back surface of the freezing chamber 9 which does not require heat insulation, while suppressing a drop in a storage amount by the cooling chamber 16 inside the vegetable chamber 8 to a minimum.
