A system for interpreting an electrocardiogram (ECG) includes a processor and a memory coupled to the processor. A rendering module is stored in the memory and configured to receive input from the ECG and correlate the interpretation statement with the ECG measurements involved in the interpretation statement in the ECG. The interface is configured to allow a user to select at least one interpretation statement in the display, and the display is configured to render a visual indication of the ECG measurement on the ECG digitally drawn waveform.
