PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant source negative ion generation promoting device which can suitably keep indoor negative ion concentration while promoting negative ion generation by a plant and enabling negative ion concentration to increase.SOLUTION: A flowerpot 2 is installed in an accommodation space 121, in a manner separating from and not contacting with an outer wall 11 of an outer housing 1. As a first electrode 301 electrically contacts with the flowerpot 2, and a second electrode 302 contacts with the outer housing 1 and is separately provided so as not to electrically connect with the first electrode 301, a virtual circuit can be constituted without directly, electrically connecting the first electrode 301 and the second electrode 302.
