A human transport device comprises: a traveling portion that has a base equipped with wheels in contact with the ground surface a human body supporting portion comprising an upper body supporting portion that is provided by being positioned above the traveling portion and that supports the upper body of a person to be transported in a state in which the person to be transported is leaning against the front side, and an arm supporting portion that supports the arms of the person to be transported and a movable portion that pushes up the human body supporting portion. The human body supporting portion is pivotally supported on the device on the side opposite of the side to which the person to be transported is leaning. The arm supporting portion comprises a forearm supporting portion that supports the forearms of a person to be transported and an upper arm enclosing portion that supports by enclosing the upper arm of the person to be transported with the person to be transported placing the forearms on the forearm supporting portion.
