<;P>;PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stone material for underwater submergement which has excellent adhesion in organisms (such as marine algae and coral), is easily produced as well, and also has high strength. <;P>;SOLUTION: The stone material has a structure where a plurality of block objects made of block steel slag obtained by making an un-carbonated Ca-containing raw material into solidified carbonic acid and/or subjecting the same to carbonating treatment are buried into a hydrated solidified body in such a manner that a part thereof is exposed to the outer face of the hydrated solidified body. While stone material strength can be secured by the hydrated solidified body as a substrate, high organism adhesion can be obtain by the plurality of buried block objects. Thus, the stone material having excellent adhesion of organisms (such as marine algae and coral) and further having high strength of being used even in a form that it is charged from onboard into the sea. <;P>;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
