The invention relates to an ophthalmic patient interface system which includesan interfacedevice and a centration device. The interface device includes a frame having afirst end and asecond end, a lens disposed at the first end, and a skirt affixed to the firstend. The centrationdevice comprises a first portion removably coupled within the second end ofthe frame and asecond portion contiguous with the first portion. The first portion includesan indicator whichidentifies an optical axis of the corneal interface lens as well as theinterface device when thecentration device is coupled to the interface device. The interface systemallows to interface asurgical laser with an eye and assists in imaging or illuminating a desiredportion of the eyeand/or reduces moisture accumulation during patient interface.
