The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for sterilizing and drying powdered and sectioned food materials, wherein the apparatus includes: a sterilizing and drying unit into which powdered and sectioned raw materials are inputted； a water spraying unit spraying water to the raw materials to prevent a color change of the raw materials due to heat； a gas injection unit supplying gas into the sterilizing and drying unit； a sterilizing unit injecting high-pressurized steam to the raw materials to perform a sterilizing process； a vacuuming unit discharging internal air to the outside； a gas supplying unit inputting low temperature dried gas into the sterilizing and drying unit； a drying unit heating the sterilizing and drying unit and raising the internal temperature to dry the raw materials； a storage tank into which sterilized and dried powdered and sectioned food materials are inputted； a feeding unit feeding the food materials within the storage tank； a packaging unit packaging the food materials supplied from the storage tank； and a control unit. Therefore, the present invention realizes processes of inputting, sterilizing, drying, storing, feeding and packaging the raw materials within one closed system blocked from the outside, thereby suppressing intrusion of bacteria or viruses which may move into the a feeding procedure between the processes.
