PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-obesity agent which can achieve a significant anti-obesity effect based on a combination of herbal medicine mixtures having an anti-obesity effect and extracting methods of active ingredients for prevention and/or improvement of obesity or metabolic syndrome.SOLUTION: The invention relates to an anti-obesity agent containing extracts obtained by extracting mixtures of North American ginseng, Crataegus cuneata, Morus alba leaves, Taraxacum hondoense, Gymnema sylvestre, Plantago asiatica L., and liquorice with a polar solvent.
