PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pruning machine for performing trimming trees, shaping hedges, and manicuring a lawn, having an excellent cutting quality, and a long life.SOLUTION: This pruning machine comprises performing necessary pruning operation through superposing up and down an upper blade 3 and a lower blade 4 which unitedly have blade parts 3A and 4A formed with a plurality of cutting blades 3a and 4a along both the ends in the width direction, and driving parts 3B and 4B formed with engagement holes 3c and 4c engaging with crank cams, changing motor rotation to the reciprocating straight motion of the upper blade 3 and the lower blade 4 by the crank cams, and letting the upper blade 3 and the lower blade 4 alternately reciprocate in a reverse direction each other. The hardness difference between each the blade parts 3A and 4A and each the driving parts 3B and 4B of the upper blade 3 and the lower blade 4 is set up by performing heat treatment of both the parts in a different condition each other, for instance, the hardness of each the blade parts 3A and 4A of the upper blade 3 and the lower blade 4 is set higher than that of each the driving parts 3B and 4B.COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT【課題】切れ味の良い長寿命の刈込機を提供すること。【解決手段】幅方向両端縁に沿って複数の切刃3a,4aが形成された刃物部3A,4Aとクランクカムに係合する係合孔3c,4cが形成された駆動部3B,4Bを一体に備える上ブレード3と下ブレード4を上下に重ね、モータの回転を前記クランクカムによって前記上ブレード3と下ブレード4の往復直線運動に変換し、これらの上ブレード3と下ブレード4を互いに逆方向に交互に往復運動させて所要の刈込作業を行う刈込機において、前記上ブレード3と下ブレード4の各刃物部3A,3Bと各駆動部3B,4Bの熱処理をそれぞれ異なる条件で行うことによって両者間に硬度差を設ける。例えば、前記上ブレード3と下ブレード4の各刃物部3A,4Aの硬度を各駆動部3B,4Bの硬度よりも高く設定する。【選択図】図3
